Gouveia

The project consisted of extending the house by substituting the annexed areas with habitable areas. The program previously defined the simultaneous necessity to occupy the house with two families in a completely autonomous manner. The “two family house” contained the necessary installations for the two units to function: two kitchens, sanitary installations, living rooms, bedrooms and two exterior patios. The entry to the original two storey house was processed from the southern patio. The new extension turns totally to north, to the only free space available which created a small dimensioned patio defined by the limits of the lot.
