007 Armazém
The project adapted two warehouses with independent accesses located in Alto dos Barronhos, in Carnaxide, inside a warehouse unit of a road signage company. The warehouse dimensions are 9.50 m wide by 27.30 m long and 11 m height. The main objective was to create a metal profile structure away from the existing walls, allowing natural light entrance through the roof in all working spaces. All constructing systems used were standard and low cost, respecting the client’s cost control wishes and the constructing process previously defined when building the existing warehouse: walls in prefabricated concrete panels covered by zinc plates and polycarbonate panels.
All ventilation, telecommunications and electricity infrastructures are behind low and long furniture, which were painted red. The containers with the sanitary facilities and kitchen were covered with a reflecting blue film, often used by the company in road signage.
