With a focus on informing design decisions for the rehabilitation and adaptation of the Torreão Poente, JAA – José Adrião Arquitetos, together with members of the Lisbon City Council’s technical team, visited the Palácio Pimenta, the headquarters of the Lisbon Museum.
Led by Joana Sousa Monteiro, the museum’s director, and accompanied by Joana Cintra Gomes, the tour provided an insight into the building’s various spaces, the way in which the collections are displayed, and the items on show. An understanding of the programme’s content and exhibition methodologies proved to be fundamental to the development of the project for the new building of the Lisbon City Museum.
