Noronha

The 29 square meters flat was originally set to be the concierge home. At the original plan there were two entry doors: A front door, from the street, and a back door from the courtyard. Despite the outdoor potential linkage, before the intervention, the house didn’t take advantage from the quiet, bright and pleasant courtyard. On this intervention the courtyard door become the main entrance. Some of the walls were replaced by full height windows and the bathroom changed position in order to strengthen outdoor relation. All the spaces became one, connecting openly between one another and with the exterior. The flat was transformed into a courtyard house.
