The house, situated in Estoril, features an original project designed by the architect Luís Benavente in the 1950s.
As its name suggests, the house is situated on a promontory overlooking the Santa Rita valley to the east and the Bay of Cascais to the south, surrounded by an extensive garden.

In the 1990s, the house underwent rehabilitation works that, while introducing new infrastructures, made occasional changes to the original spaces and materials, partially compromising the coherence of the initial design.
During the same period, a swimming pool was also built in the southern garden.

The intervention’s main objectives were to equip the house with new infrastructure, restore essential elements of the original project, make selective changes to the layout of the spaces, and strengthen the connection between the building and the garden.

The garden, in turn, was the subject of a landscape architecture project aimed at redesigning the pool, increasing the complexity of the plant cover, and introducing new pavement materials, transforming it into a fundamental part of the house.
