Moda Lisboa 24

Moda Lisboa 24 took place for the fifth time in succession at the same pavilion in the Lisbon port this time with the theme FAST-FORWARD. The team’s initial aim was to move the venue. The project pursued this wish – due to the impossibility of change – and completely changed the defined layout for the prior editions. The entrance was designed to be the exit, the exit: the entrance, the catwalk became the social area, the VIP area: the LAB, to misdirect and direct. A printed map on the floor enabled the visitors to situate themselves.
Inside the pavilion, different coloured striped defined a circuit indicating functions and distinct directions. Exclusive and inclusive spaces: VIP, MUSH-ROOM, TOILET, LAB, EXPO, PARADISO, GERAL, NOWHERE.
Like the road paint applied to the function’s circuit inside the pavilion, other construction materials reminded visitors of the road, movement and speed: cars with headlights turned on lit up spaces, car inner tubes became poufs and road signalling strips were used to outline rest areas.
